International Day of People with Disability 2021

Today is International Day of People with Disability #IDPwD where we promote understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

We have made a short video that highlights what inclusive sport means to members of our blind sports community, and why IPDwD is important to them – we hope you enjoy it.

IDPwD is an opportunity for us to make positive changes to the lives of the 4.4 million Australians with disability – please share our message.

Thanks to our contributors, who in order of speaking were: Greg Kennedy (President - Australian Blind Bowlers Association), Wayne Phipps (Paralympian - Para Judo), Tim Haggis (Blind Tennis), James Little (Disability Sport NT), Maurice Gleeson (President - Blind Sports and Recreation Victoria), Brad Johnson (Zena Sport - BSA Partner), Katie Kelly (Paralympian - Para Triathlon), Amy Ridley (Paralympian - Goalball) and Oscar Stubbs (Multi Sport Competitor) for your contributions.
